The decision to establish ''Dr. Shah Mohammed Imtiaz Centre for Excellence'' under the aegis of Shah Homair Foundation located at Nasima house, West Gandhi Maidan Patna was taken after due consultation with the well wishers, including friends and reletives -the stake holders -of Dr. Imtiaz

Dr. Imtiaz has proven to one and all about his committment to catering to the educational requiremets of those students who belong to the downtrodden and marginalised class. And a classic instance of this can be seen in the opening up of Shah Homair Foundation which has got a dedicated group of administratics including retired civil servants, senior college teachers, IT profesionals etc. who look after the day to day workings of the Foundation through a dedicated staff.

The avowed objective of ''Dr. Shah Mohammed Imtiaz Centre for Excellence'' Is to encourage financially weak students to pursue their respective courses of study (especially professional courses) with the mental satisfaction that their financial needs during the period of studies (like paymet of tuition fees, purchase of study material and other such related things) shall be taken care of by a said sponser. However it needs to be explained here that the student should be enroll in a goverment college/ institution.

Other pursuits of exellence including shining in diverse spheres like sports, art and culture and so on.The reason to name this Centre after Dr. Imtiaz is due to the fact that he (Dr. Imtiaz) had taken it upon himself to ensure that no child is deprived of basic education facilities due to lack of financial resources.Despite being busy in his profession being that of a medical practitioner in U.K. ,he sought enough time to oversee his innate and primary interest of promoting education among the deprived section of the society.

''Dr. Shah Mohammed Imtiaz Centre for Excellence'' intrinsically aims at ensuring that Dr. Imtiaz's vision sees the light of the day and the budding youngsters are not deprived of quality education due to lack of funds.The Centre shall check out strategies/conditions which are to be necessarily fulfilled before the sponsor goes ahead in honouring his committment of fulfilling the desired need(s) of the student(s).These terms and conditions shall be duly notified in due course of time.
